Let me introduce myself.
That’s me. My name is Louis and I’m obsessed with health and nutrition. At 15 I received my first book book on health and nutrition called Restoring Your Digestive Health by Jordan Rubin. After a year on the diet I gained 30 pounds, grew 4 inches, and was able to get off of all my prescription drugs. In college, stress and other factors resulted in a flare up of my IBD. I was put on another drug which helped to cover up the symptoms I was experiencing but gave me severe, nodular cystic acne. To clear my skin I tried every product on the market and even burned my face off using a chemical I got at my dermatologists office. Nothing worked, so I switched to natural therapies.
Over the past
4 6 years I’ve been experimenting with alternative therapies for acne. I’ve also experimented with biohacking and self-optimization techniques to be the healthiest, best version of myself. You can see everything that I tried by checking out my YouTube channel.
After years of unsuccessful attempts to clear my skin, fix my digestive problems and become the most optimal version of myself, I finally learned how to address the underlying hidden stressors that were keeping me from reaching my full potential. I was able to do this (and continue to do so) thanks to something called Functional Nutrition. Functional Nutrition combines the science and technology of modern medicine with the ancient wisdom of traditional healing practices. It uses functional lab testing to get to the root causes of people’s problems – which means you’re not covering up symptoms with this.
When I ran the tests on myself I learned that I had hormonal imbalances, food sensitivities, dysbiosis of gut bacteria, a bacterial infections of H. Pylori and shigella, a parasitic infection of Blastocystis hominis, and mercury toxicity, along with a few other things that I needed to take care of. And this was After I went paleo, started meditating, joined a yoga tribe, got 8 hours of sleep a night, exposed myself to sunlight, drank my green smoothies, did half a dozen juice cleanses and a couple water fasts thinking I needed to detox my problems away.
The problem wasn’t that I needed to eat more salads and green juices (although that helps a lot!). It was that I needed to balance my hormones, eliminate infections and fix my digestive system. And I would never have understood this at the level I do now if I didn’t do testing. What I learned was so profound that I decided to become a certified functional health practitioner and help others get to the root cause of their skin, digestive problems, and other health problems.

Along with health and wellness, another passion of mine is self-improvement and personal development. I really want to live my life to the fullest and believe that everyone is capable of great things. That’s why I’ll often say “You’re awesome, stay awesome” at the end of my videos. I think it’s safe to say that the shift in mindset I’ve had since adopting the principles I learned from personal development has changed my life as much as my diet has. I try to incorporate what I’ve learned from my experiences in self development into everything I make and do.
